I am so disappointed in this daycare. My daughter attended here for before and after school care. The owner seemed very nice but the communication between the staff is HORRIBLE. I reached out to the owner as I received notification that my daughter arrived late to school on a regular basis. She apologized which was the right thing to do and then turns around and gives me a 2 day notice that they were cancelling transportation services to Oberle Elementary. I was completely blindsided by this and showed my concern and wrote her a lengthy email. She decided to NOT respond. How is this ethical? How is this appropriate? Oh and let me be very clear! I am so frustrated that individuals who say they care will ultimately disregard you like nothing. Very sad to be truthful.
My daughter has been attending this daycare for about 4 months. I have nothing but good experiences so far. The one thing you learn early is that Janice runs a tight ship. This is something that I admire and encourage when there are children involved. No exceptions are given when it comes to the schedule for good reason. Everyone is treated the same across the board. Safety and cleanliness are first and foremost, followed closely by a teaching initiative geared towards preparing the children to excel in kindergarten. The staff are well informed and in constant communication with one another about the children. My daughter is making great strides in her fine motor skills and social graces. The centers have been awarded 5 stars by the state of Delawares accreditation system and come complete with meals, before/after care, transportation to and from school and a summer camp. As for the negative reviews, I can see how a disruption like being late for work, or missing a payment can alter our lives as parents, however a business can easily become a circus if rules are constantly bent and children thrive on the consistency of a schedule. If anything, this center has kept me on my toes and on schedule. I have been able to overlook minor inconveniences (mainly due to my own error) and focus on the happiness and learning of my child. I would also like to add that my child has not been sick one time since starting, which was a constant struggle at her previous daycares.
If I could give it 0 stars I would! The owner Janice is a dictator and wants everything done her way! And don't even think about speaking your mind b/c she will terminate your child! She's in the business for the money. Her customer service is horrible! If you care about your child, RUN FAST AWAY FROM there.
The bus driver just careened across Dupont Highway while I had the green light and almost hit me and 2 other vehicles while we were driving 50 mph. I almost died 2 years ago in a terrible accident. I've only been in Delaware 2 years and people drive crazy, but I don't want my kids riding with an unsafe driver like yours.
Dont send your child here if you are poor and dont want your child isolated. Especially during the holidays. Children will be excluded from gift exchange if you send in something CHEAP or youre too broke to send in a donation gift. This school thinks Christmas is all about how much you spend on a gift, versus the act of giving!
