I love ShopRite! Today I drove up there specifically for steak they had on sale, and they didn't have it , at first they told me I was basically out of luck, and I wasn't too pleased. However I ran across their assistant store director, and he offered to substitute an even better cut at the sale price! This is why I keep giving them my business! Customer service I appreciate !
He picks a few up, to test the weight I guess, and asks me, "um, does this feel full to you?"
So I'm there the other day to purchase a few steaks and a full tank of propane for a little fall grilling when I finish my deal and go wait outside for the stock associate to open the gas cage.
The worst shoprite ever I would never go back there. I love ShopRite but the one in Governor Square has the worse customer service. They refuse to give you a rain check on sales that they don’t have in stock. I’ve never had this problem with any of their other stores. They had one of the sale item but because I already checked out she wouldn’t give me the sale price she said I had to spend another $10 to get the sale price because I already checked out. Their manager Simone was so rude and confrontational I had to call the cops.
I'm not adking for Hank Hill level insight, but I'd at least expect them to have a gage or some manner of organization.
I went to the ShopRite in chestnut plaza and the friendly cashier was so helpful I told her about what happened and she asked me for my receipt and gave me the sale price of the items I was trying to get. I will be filing a complaint with their head quarters.
I wish the store and parking lot was larger but every thing else is great.
I understand that most of the staff isn't trained in every area of the store, but I at least expected the associate that handles the propane to know something about propane.
It's best to go early in the morning they open at 6 and it's not crowded way in and out of there today 12/24/17 in a half hour
